I work with you to fully understand and to use the connection of mind and body. This connection is particularly important when there is fatigue, sleep irregularity, ongoing pain or other physical problems that persist even as you have excellent medical care. 

I am trained in hypnosis and have used this tool for over 20 years. Hypnosis can be effective when a client is experiencing some of these physical problems.

Couples Therapy
When working with couples, communication is a key to finding and achieving outcomes they want. I do that in a hopeful and sensitive way that fits for you. I help you to identify and stop what is not working and to develop new emotionally connected ways to grow to a better healthier relationship. As a Clinical Mental Health Therapist, I studied the marriage work of John Gottman, the pre-eminent marriage researcher of our time.

Anxiety & Stress
Are you under a lot of stress? Does this make you feel anxious, lose sleep? I help clients struggling against Anxiety and Stress by understanding the causes and working towards solutions focused on results you desire. I work with you to fully understand and use the connection of mind and body. To alleviate or diminish stress, you need to understand the causes. I work with the Stress Management “Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers” theory to help you manage and relieve the stress.

As your Mental Health Therapist, I work to address your concerns, capitalize on your strengths and provide tools to help you better manage your environment and move towards a less stressful, anxious path towards good mental health.

Family Therapy
Family dynamics can be frustrating, annoying, irritating and yet, most of the time, extremely rewarding. When there are difficulties, adjustments to communication and family partnerships are often needed. It takes effort and energy.

I have extensive training in Family Therapy. As a Mental Health Therapist, I work with you to address your concerns, capitalize on your strengths and provide tools for you to move towards better family dynamics, great relationships and a higher quality of life.

I taught parenting classes for 20 years, but respectfully note that as I did more parenting the content of the class became much more flexible. Parenting: the most important job of our life, highly satisfying and lots of hard work.

Depression
Depression can be debilitating. I help clients struggling against Depression by understanding and working towards solutions focused on results you desire. I work with you to fully understand and use the connection of mind and body. I work to address your concerns, capitalize on your strengths and provide tools to help you manage depression and to begin a path to good mental health.

Anger Management
When a person is angry, it’s often difficult to use that anger productively. Learning to manage your anger helps you be to better in every aspect of your life. As a Mental Health Therapist, I work with you to address your concerns, capitalize on your strengths and provide tools for you to help you manage anger and move towards better and higher quality relationships.

Grief & Loss
The pain and sorrow of losing someone close can seem unbearable. Whether through death or divorce, it’s important to recognize that you want help to cope with many emotions, such as depression, anger and loneliness. As a Solution Focused Therapist, I work with you to address your concerns and to provide tools for you to help cope with your loss, capitalize on your strengths, and move towards a healing of your spirit.

Veterans Issues including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The sacrifice of our military is significant. I work to help Active Duty and Veterans deal with the special adjustments of your circumstances.

Distance Coaching. I provide coaching by Skype or phone.

Supervision. I provide clinical supervision to Social Workers including those that need it for their LCSW.
